The Town of Caledon
Caledon is located less than 1 hour northwest of Toronto and offers a distinctive urban/rural setting. Major natural features such as the Oak Ridges moraine and the Niagara Escarpment, as well as the scenic Humber and Credit river valleys, green spaces and productive agricultural land of the Peel Plain create some of the most beautiful scenery in the Greater Toronto Area.
Enjoy driving through the Caledon countryside and discover the quaint villages that are located throughout the hills of Caledon. Each of our twelve villages such as Palgrave, Terra Cotta, Inglewood, Bolton, Caledon East, Cheltenham & Belfountain, just to name a few, have a character and charm of their own. The unique, rolling country hills, combined with the friendliness of the community, capture the warmth and attraction that is Caledon.
For the outdoor enthusiasts, the Town of Caledon offers downhill skiing, golfing at any of the nine golf courses, swimming, fishing, horseback riding, camping and an expansive trail system which includes the Bruce Trail, the Trans-Canada Trail Way and the Humber Valley Heritage Trail. These trails offer its users the choice of hiking, biking and cross-country skiing.
If you like shopping and finding that special one of a kind item, the Town of Caledon offers the galleries of our local Artisans and a great selection of Antique and Gift Shops.
The Town of Caledon is in close proximity and within commuting distance to many universities and colleges.
